Pet Accidents

Jun 26, 2013   //   by Richard Jackson   //   Tips and Tricks  //  Comments Off on Pet Accidents

Oh no call 911…My pet just had an accident on my carpet, what do I do? No worries stay calm. If your pet urinated on your carpet grab a hand full of absorbent paper towels and blot up as much urine as possible. Step on towels with your foot to assure you blotted up all you can. Next pour a cup (8oz) of a quality urine enzyme you can purchase at any pet supply store and saturate the spot. Let stand for 30 min and roll up more paper towels. Place towels on top of spot, cover with a clear plastic bag (grocery store bags are ok but you must make sure the ink on the bag is away from the carpet) and place a heavy book over the plastic bag. Let this set for 2 to 3 days until dry. This will take care of the smell and the yellowing that may result from your pet’s accident.
